Hello Scrubby Friends,

On behalf of the entire Scrubby herd, thank you so much for your tremendous outpouring of support, not just on Facebook, but the numerous emails, phone messages and other contacts we’ve had. Scrubby customers and clients truly are the best of the best when it comes to running a small business.

Barring a change in status or additional updates at the State or County level, we will be reopening for grooming-only on Monday, June 1st and then for self-service and all other walk-in services Saturday, June 6th. We will begin reaching out Tuesday, May 26th to confirm or reschedule appointments booked before we shut down, then will begin moving through our waiting list. If you don’t have anything booked but would like to do so, please email us at scrubbypuppy@gmail.com.

Thank you again, stay safe and stay patient and we’ll look forward to seeing all of our two- and four-legged customers soon.

Tony, Val and staff

In order to comply with Public Health Administration Covid-19 guidelines, please read the following information BEFORE coming to Scrubby Puppy. We have a great many customers and clients (and family members) that for various reasons are in the very highest risk-brackets for this disease – please remember that you don’t just follow these guidelines for your safety but for the safety of those at greatest risk should they become infected. If you are coming for self-wash, please read our Self-Wash Suggestions page first, even if you have been here before. In order for Scrubby Puppy to safely open and more importantly, STAY open, ALL persons interacting with staff MUST adhere to the following:

New Walk-in Covid-Compliant Guidelines:

  1. Masks/face coverings MUST be worn AT ALL TIMES by all persons entering Scrubby Puppy or interacting with staff.
  2. Maximum of TWO (2) persons per dog – children count as one person and MUST stay at your side at all times.
  3. Upon arrival, please either call from your vehicle or come in WITHOUT your dog/s to let us know that you’re here and what services you’re here for (self-service wash, nail-clipping only, etc …). We will take your information and then let you know how long the wait, if any, is for services requested.
  4. Once checked in, please either stay in your vehicle or wait by the doggie waste station until we’re ready for you. Once we are, we will come outside to get you (or text/call you) and escort you to the nail-clipping area or direct you to a self-service tub station.
  5. Please follow social-distancing guidelines and maintain spacing from others as best as possible at all times.
  6. We can take payment by phone, and also accept all contact-less payment options – Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay.

New Grooming Appointment Covid-Compliant Guidelines:

  1. Masks/face coverings MUST be worn AT ALL TIMES by all persons entering Scrubby Puppy or interacting with staff.
  2. Maximum of TWO (2) persons per dog – children count as one person and MUST stay at your side at all times.
  3. Upon arrival, please either call from your vehicle or come in WITHOUT your dog/s to let us know that you’re here.
  4. Once checked in, please either stay in your vehicle or wait by the doggie waste station until we’re ready for you. Once we are, we will come outside to get your dog. We may request new customers or those with skittish or grooming-averse doggies to enter the business to safely facilitate the transfer of unhappy fur-babies.
  5. At this time, we request that grooming clients do not plan on waiting inside Scrubby while their dog is groomed unless it is not feasible to do otherwise. Please let us know when booking if you travel from outside our immediate neighborhood and would be unable to conveniently return home to wait for grooming.
  6. While it is extremely important under the best of times that clients are here before their dog/s are finished with the grooming service, it is even more so at this time. If you are not waiting in the immediate vicinity for your fur-baby to be groomed, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be back before we finish the grooming process. In this chaotic, unsure time, owners who are not here waiting for their doggie before we finish will really create a headache for staff and all following grooming customers and greatly increase the complications during an already complicated time.
  7. If you must enter the facility, please follow all social-distancing guidelines and maintain spacing from others as best as possible at all times.
  8. We can take payment by phone, and also accept all contact-less payment options – Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay.
